5/13/2023 0 Comments Unraveled by Courtney Milan![]() So I wait with baited breath! This book is well worth the expense IMO. I actually wanted that one first, but it's not available. And I look forward to the other brother's story too. ![]() As a result of this book, I'm going to read Ash's story. I loved the view of women in relation to men's sexuality and women not being too blame. I absolutely loved the heroes full support of the heroine and how she came into her own. Instead, when he tries to push her away, she pushes right backstraight through his famous self-control and into the heart of the passion that he has long hidden away. Continuing, some of the sex scenes were alluded to without giving the full picture, but it didn't detract from the story at all, but added to it appropriately. I don't want to leave the wrong impression. Though, I should add, I have no problem with samplings from the erotic genre as well. But this story was believable, romantic without scenes that make me roll my eyes while I think "As if," and sexual, though not erotic-meaning the, maybe, 2.5 or 3 complete sex scenes were very tamed. Unraveled is the third full-length book in the Turner Series. ![]() Like all genres, there's a mixture of offerings out there. ![]() I like historical romances, but I just didn't know what to expect from this author. This was my first Courtney Milan novel, and I enjoyed it much more than I thought I would. ![]()

Smashing Statues: The Rise and Fall of America's Public Monuments (Norton, 2022) aims to create a toolkit to interrogate how Americans represent what they have built and what they need to rebuild in the American public landscape – and the nation as a whole.Įrin L. Thompson demonstrates the complex ways in which these statutes were suggested, contested, funded, physically created, and used symbolically by future groups. Using a set of remarkable case studies, Dr. Thompson suggests that we need to interrogate both the creation and removal of monuments to understand the essential role they play in creating national narratives and determining who is seen as an American. In the United States, the national debate over public monuments often frames the removal of statutes as a revision of history. ![]() 5/12/2023 0 Comments Kylie scott lick pdf![]() ![]() Unfortunately for his ex-girlfriend, Jill, that album is full of hate songs about how she callously broke his heart. The "Moral" testifies to both Churchill's own statecraft and to the failures of statecraft that precipitated the Second World War and would unfortunately persist in its wake. Precisely "because we are so often mocked by the failure of our hopes and the upsetting of our calculations" did he recognize the vital role of purposeful resolve, reasoned defiance, and generous decency in public affairs, and of "rectitude and sincerity" in personal conduct (from Churchill's gracious wartime eulogy of his great pre-WWII political nemesis, Neville Chamberlain). Likely better than most, he well understood the often senseless and bloody chaos and vagaries inherent to the human condition. In a cynical post-war world slipping inexorably into a new Cold War, perhaps some considered it banal or at least overly simplistic to ascribe any moral to the greatest conflict the world had yet seen. The words appear prominently and alone on the page immediately following the author's Acknowledgements.
